Currently I'm watching "Here on Earth" and yeah...this movie still moves me. Especially the part after everyone realizes that Sam's (Leelee Sobieski) cancer has worsen, and she has her chat with Jasper (Josh Hartnett). And here's the dialogue (capped by me, of course!!):
Jasper: S'going home in a couple of days?
Sam: Yep!
Jasper: It's good, right?
Sam: It's great!
Sam: Jas. About that night...
Jasper: Oh...we don't have to talk about it.
Sam: Just wanted to say that I'm sorry.
Jasper: No. I'm sorry.
Sam: What do you have to be sorry for?
Jasper: I haven't been a very good friend.
Sam: [takes his hand]
You've been my best friend. You'll always be my best friend. Always.
Jasper: I really do love you.
Sam: I love you too.
[embraces]
Sam: Yep!
Jasper: It's good, right?
Sam: It's great!
Sam: Jas. About that night...
Jasper: Oh...we don't have to talk about it.
Sam: Just wanted to say that I'm sorry.
Jasper: No. I'm sorry.

Sam: [takes his hand]

Jasper: I really do love you.
Sam: I love you too.
[embraces]
Why I think that was so worth to remember is because it just makes me think that it takes A LOT of courage for cancer victims to absorb, realize, and face this cruel, cruel disease. And the most challenging part in this phase is the fact that these victims have to show more strength to those people that they care. Which is even more moving than words can say.
I often wonder what goes on my dad's mind when he found out that he had cancer. Finding out that you have cancer is like, to me, "you're dying." So, I just want to take this opportunity to say: cherish every moment in life.
